Guerrilla Classrooms

Milwaukee-based COA Youth & Family Centers (COA) is partnering with Cramer-Krasselt/Milwaukee to raise awareness of the positive impact parents’ involvement with their child’s education has on chances of success in the classroom and beyond. The pro-bono campaign brings interactive learning displays, or “guerilla classrooms,” to life around the Milwaukee area.

From life-size puzzles, word searches, mazes, books and rulers, to sign-language translators, around-the-world basketball courts and even a visual sound wave wall, these high-impact games and activities — many a first of their kind — are designed to teach “real-world” applications of math, science, geography and reading, as well as encourage interaction between parents and their children. The campaign will span traditional radio and out-of-home executions, as well as full bus immersions and unique installations at one of three Milwaukee-area parks, including Johnsons, Mitchell and Bradford Beach Parks.
